Asht Bhairav Divya Suraksha Mahakavach Pujan

Asht Bhairav Divya Suraksha Mahakavach Poojan, performed at the sacred Batuk Bhairav Mandir in Kashi, is an extremely powerful and rare ritual. This puja is conducted during the sacred hours when Lord Bhairav’s fierce and protective energies are at their peak. In this divine ritual, the eight guardian forms of Lord Shiva — the Ashta Bhairavas — are invoked to grant divine protection from untimely death, fear, enemies, and unseen negative forces. This sacred worship not only neutralizes the energies of death and fear but also awakens the inner strength, courage, and spiritual power within the devotee. It is believed that — “Where Bhairav’s sadhana is performed, fear and darkness cannot exist.”

One of the most famous temples in Varanasi (Kashi) is the Shri Batuk Bhairav Temple. This temple is highly renowned among Aghoris, tantriks, and married couples. It is said that a perpetual lamp always burns inside the temple. Worshiping here grants immediate fulfillment of all desires. This temple is one of the Ashtabhairav temples in Varanasi, dedicated to Lord Shiva and the child form of Lord Bhairav known as Batuk Bhairav. Lord Batuk is adorned in three different ways in this temple. Many miraculous stories are associated with this temple, which are often heard in folklore. The scriptures also emphasize that this temple holds a prominent place in both Shiva’s and Bhairav’s worship. According to some beliefs, even the Pandavas received the blessings of Baba Batuk Bhairav here. In addition to the idol of Lord Batuk Bhairav, this temple also houses idols of various other forms of Bhairav, whose darshan and worship provide individuals with a sense of security regarding their future. Worshiping Batuk Bhairav here makes a person fearless and brings success in their endeavors. The puja performed here also leads destruction of enemies and the attainment of self-confidence.
